"OSHUN" Spiritual & Ritual Bath
Before I give you the full details on how to prepare this sacred bath ritual I would like to first give thanks to the goddess Oshun for allowing me to share this information with you. I would also like to give thanks to the Orisha Papa Legba for opening the gateway of communication to Oshun.
*Before operating these sacred ritual baths please ask Papa Legba to open the gateway of communications to connect with Oshun*
Oshun is the Yoruba Goddess of freshwaters, sensuality, and prosperity.
The day we are born, each of us is accompanied by an Orisha "owner of our head" who serves as a life long protector. We share different personality traits from our Orisha, who ultimately helps us learn more about ourselves in order to lead an effective life. Oshun is a goddess I like to think of that indulges herself in the idea that "self-care isn't selfish" she loves everything that is beautiful, elegant, and graceful with seduction being right up her alley. With ruling over the sea she loves the idea of water. When you drink water use this gesture to think of this as a ritual to her as she encourages you to drink more.
You may embody Oshun and not even know it. Whether it's through your style, hypnotic dance, unconditional giving of love to others, or seductive sway that lures men in like a fish on a hook.
If you would like to invoke Oshun you must come correct! I suggest you talk to her about your concerns/desires before any ritual is done. Get comfortable with the idea of servicing her through offerings and rituals first than ask for your desires after.
Some example prayers to ask of Oshun:
(Part 1 of ritual)
Oshun I pray that you help me see the beauty in myself.
Oshun I pray that you help me learn how to love myself in better ways.
Oshun I pray that you open me up to new forms of self-care.
Oshun I pray that you bless my life with prosperity and abundance.
Oshun I pray that you help me conceive to bring new life into the world.
Oshun I pray that my man falls in love with every part of me.
Once you have prayed to Oshun and asked of her what you desire now it's time to begin part 2 of the ritual which is the spiritual bath.
Ingredients You Will Need :
3 tablespoons of honey
1 cup of milk
1 cup of bath salt
1 cup of lavender bubble bath
Fresh yellow flowers
1 Yellow candle
Once bathwater is filled and ingredients are all poured in repeat 5 times.
"Oshun here is my sacrifice to you as I embody your full beauty, unconditional love, and abundance."
Bathe for at least 15 minutes, talk openly to Oshun, and enjoy these moments fully. Journal down significant things that may have happened during your bath.
Don't forget to always keep it cute!
Thank you, Oshun for helping me teach your people more of you. Highest regards and respect to you and Papa Legba.
